Information on Assistance Programs
A program may often be presented on websites that to do not actually manage the program, and therefore, the information may not be accurate, current, or updated correctly. The only way to be certain to have the accurate information is to contact the actual managing organization of the program.
In Quebec alone, there are 391 managing websites for business assistance programs. You cannot always rely on the accuracy of the information published on their website, either.
Numerous services have been developed to discover and catalogue all of these assistance programs. Some are privately owned, others are government sponsored (Canada Business Network).
Most of the time, these government sponsored websites are only links that re-direct you back to the managing organization.
The majority of private organizations offer directories (printed or electronic/online) or use their websites to attract entrepreneurs and offer them consulting services (i.e. call us and talk to an advisor).
SAFEC is the only company that provides, without having to contact an advisor or hiring a consultant:
- Information in exact correspondence with the needs and requirements of a project;
- Necessary tools to manage the plethora of programs;
- Required monitoring technologies for information updated in near real-time;
- Tools and customized services to filter and organize programs (prioritization).
